New Livestream Matches, Events On the Way!

Greetings to all archers out there! As the winter weather is coming to a close, the WarBow staff is hard at work developing and expanding combat archery.

New Livestreamed Matches

If you haven’t already noticed, we’ve been livestreaming the occasional Warbow match via Facebook (and soon to follow on our YouTube channel here) For those understandably keeping a low profile due to the ongoing pandemic, you can still participate in spirit through these live broadcasts!

Speaking of broadcasts, last weekend the folks at Knight Life Swordfighting Academy in Tracy, CA held a small exhibition event which was also livestreamed. In total, the team ran 4 back-to-back matches for a local fitness group. Needless to say, the day ended with exhausted, but excited players. As the day progressed, all participating teams began to develop new skills and gain a greater appreciation for the strategic nuances of the game.

If you missed the livestream, you can watch the uploaded feed on our Facebook page.

Mini-Tournament Events on the Way

We’ll be exploring the concept of running similar “mini-tournament” events at various locations throughout the bay to help spread the word about our new sport. In essence, we’ll reach out to local groups near our partner locations (En Garde Fencing in Santa Rosa, Knight Life Swordfighting Academy in Tracy, and Davenriche European Martial Artes School in Santa Clara) to host a free WarBow mini-tournament. Players will be split into teams and run a livestreamed round-robin.

These planned events are a fun, no-cost way to try your hand at the sport, as well as meet some new friends. If you’ve never had a chance to try WarBow in your area, we highly encourage you to give this a go!
